The State-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on early Wednesday that the city of Deir Ezzor and Abu Kamal region in eastern Syria saw what the media described as "Israeli aggression".
Citing a military source, SANA said that the attack took place at 1:10 a.m., local time, noting that the results of the attack are currently being "verified".
Videos allegedly showing the moment of the attack were shared in social media.

Syria frequently sees attacks thought to be the result of Israeli military operations countering an Iranian military presence in the neighboring Arab republic - something that Damascus condemns as a violation of Syrian sovereignty.
