According to Johns Hopkins University, the coronavirus death toll in the US has surpassed 508,000. The total number of confirmed cases currently stands at more than 28 million.

Watch a live broadcast from Houston, Texas, where US President Joe Biden is delivering remarks at FEMA’s (Federal Emergency Management Agency) COVID-19 vaccination facility at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

This is Biden's first visit to the area recently affected by a deadly winter storm and extremely cold weather. The President is accompanied by first lady Jill Biden. They are also expected to visit the Houston Food Bank to package food and water for Houston residents affected by the disaster.
