Anti-lockdown protests are expected in several other German cities, while the Bundesliga has postponed all football matches this weekend.

Overall, Germany has recorded 2,559,935 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, with 73,349 deaths and 2,356,590 recoveries, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
