16:00 GMT 26.03.2021 (Updated: 16:27 GMT 26.03.2021) Being one of the largest rodents comes with its inconveniences. Luckily beavers are in their element in water, so it probably got over its little embarrassing mishap pretty easily.
A funny video has been shared on YouTube in which a beaver is seen climbing out of the water onto a crust of ice. Just as soon as the beaver manages to get ashore, the ice collapses under its weight and the unsuspecting rodent plunges - oop! - back into the water again. The poor chap looked rather puzzled when it resurfaced and made a scurrying attempt to land on the now chipped-off piece of ice once again.
