12:23 GMT 05.07.2021 (Updated: 17:24 GMT 15.01.2023) TEL AVIV (Sputnik) - Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Monday thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for strengthening stability in the region, Bennett’s office said, adding that the leaders agreed to meet soon.
"The prime minister thanked the president of Russia for the role that his country plays in maintaining regional stability, as well as for his assistance [in the negotiations] on the issue of prisoners and missing persons", Bennett’s office said, adding that the sides also discussed security issues and agreed to hold a meeting in the near future.
President Putin, in turn, wished Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett success at his new position, the Kremlin said.
