According to Johns Hopkins University, which tracks and compiles data on the pandemic, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the world stands at over 206 million, while the global death toll has surpassed 4.3 million.
The US, India, and Brazil top the list of affected countries amid the pandemic: the US has registered 36.5 million infected and over 621,000 deaths, while India has over 32 million cases and 430,000 dead, and Brazil has the second-highest death toll in the world, confirming 567,000 fatalities and over 20 million infected.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia registered 22,144 COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, down from 22,277 the day before, taking the overall tally to 6,579,212, the federal response centre said on Saturday.
"Over the past day, 22,144 COVID-19 cases were confirmed across 85 Russian regions, including 1,816 cases (8.2%) without clinical symptoms", the centre said, adding that the rate of increase stands at 0.34%.
