"Ruselectronics holding showcased a mobile visual optical interference station Luitik-N for the first time at the International Miltary-Technical Forum ARMY-2021. The devicee can be installed on anti-shock or armored shields and can temporarily blind an enemy at a 100-metre distance, even though they are armed with weapons with telescopic sight," the statement read. The device is to be applied in special operations, including counter-terrorism missions. The Luitik-N technology is based on low-frequency fluctuations of light, which create an effect of temporary glare. The station has an anti-shock sealed body and can be used under temperatures from 40 Celsius below zero (-40 degrees Fahrenheit) to 40 Celsius above zero (104 degrees Fahrenheit). The maximum time it takes the system to turn on is ten seconds, and the operating capacity is 85 minutes. The Luitik-N can also be used as a projector to light up dark areas, with an operating time amounting to 45 minutes in this case. The Army International Military Forum is an international showcase of the latest developments in the arms industry. Russia has hosted the International Army Games annually since 2015 for military teams from across the world to come together and compete in various disciplines, such as a tank race, sniper shooting, a flight crew and a combat ship crew competition, among others. The seventh edition of the International Army Games is being held from August 22—September 4.
