14:00 GMT 15.09.2021 (Updated: 15:15 GMT 28.05.2023) LONDON (Sputnik) - Firefighting crews in Kent County in southeast England have been deployed to the scene of a large fire, which occurred close to the town of Ashford at a power station receiving electricity from France, the local fire and rescue service said on Wednesday.
"Ten fire engines are at the scene of a fire at a @NationalGrid site in #Ashford. Progress is being made & crews have worked to stop fire spread", the service tweeted.
The crews are expected to stay at the scene for some time, even though the blaze has been stopped.
