SM Entertainment continued to share photo teasers for their new project, titled 'SMCU EXPRESS' on the 18th of December with the photos of NCT members, following the previous teasers featuring BoA, Kangta and TVXQ. This 'SMTOWN 2022' project includes all the SM Entertainment artists: even Girls Generation's sub-unit Oh!GG, one of the most prominent girl groups, are taking part. This has attracted a lot of attention from K-pop fans, who have been waiting for them to return. SM named this all-inclusive content project "SMTOWN 2022: SMCU Express". The project will allow fans to dive into the metaverse through a variety of futuristic content, produced by SM Entertainment founder and producer Lee Soo-man. Within the frameworks of 'SMTOWN 2022' several projects of the SM Entertainment will be combined, such as 2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU Express, a winter album that will be out on the 27th of December, a media content exhibition and an online concert. This is going to be SM's first SMTOWN winter album in 10 years (since 2011) and the first media content exhibition 'SMTOWN EXPERIENCE: PLAY@KWANGYA' in SM Seongsu's new office building.The concert, titled 'SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA', will be held on the 1st of January and will be a free online concert, offered as a gift to global K-pop fans upset by COVID-19 restrictions.
