French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin announced on Twitter that 54 people were arrested and 337 fines were issued during the day as a result of the protests.Paris authorities have banned the protest, but in the afternoon a part of the convoy entered the Champs Elysees. Police reported that 500 vehicles were stopped near Paris and another 300 vehicles inside the city.

PARIS (Sputnik) - More than 32,000 people took part in the Freedom Convoy protest against COVID-19 restrictions across France on Saturday, with about 7,600 gathering in Paris, BFMTV reported, citing the Interior Ministry.
French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin announced on Twitter that 54 people were arrested and 337 fines were issued during the day as a result of the protests.
