As of 21 March, the civilian death toll in the Ukraine-Russia conflict exceeded 900 people, with more than 1,500 others injured, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said.
At least one civilian was killed and 32 others were injured as a result of shelling by Kiev forces on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic in the past 24 hours, a spokesperson for the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination on ceasefire said.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday that its forces hit 137 military facilities in Ukraine in the past 24 hours.
Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, launched to protect the civilian population of the Donbass region and to "demilitarise and de-Nazify" the country, has entered its 27th day.

Russian Emergencies Ministry Delivers Almost 18 Tonnes of Humanitarian Cargo to DPR
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Russian emergencies ministry said on Wednesday that close to 18 tonnes of humanitarian supplies were delivered by convoys as essential life support to mobile settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"The emergencies ministry convoys delivered almost 18 tonnes of humanitarian supplies, which included all the essentials – food, baby food, as well as basic necessities," the department press office said in a statement.
Everything needed for a comfortable stay is organized on the tent town's territory: warm modules, bedding, the ability to charge mobile phones as well as hot meals, according to the ministry.
"The humanitarian aid delivery will be carried out by Russian rescuers on a permanent basis. The mobile town of 30 tents, designed for 450 people, works around the clock," the statement read.
Earlier in the month, the mobile town and the necessary equipment were delivered by rescuers of the Don rescue center of the ministry to the Bezimenne village in Donetsk region.

Romanian Fighters Escort Moscow-Istanbul Flight Over Bomb Threat - Defense Ministry
CHISINAU (Sputnik) - Romania's fighter jets escorted a civilian plane flying from Moscow to Istanbul within the country's airspace over fears of an alleged bomb on board, the Romanian Defense Ministry said.
"Romanian Air Force aircraft on duty of the air police carried out a new mission within the national airspace today, March 22, to intercept and escort a civil aircraft operating the Turkish Airlines flight from Moscow to Istanbul due to a bomb warning on board of the aircraft received by civil air traffic control authorities," the ministry said on Facebook (banned in Russia) on Tuesday evening.
The statement added that the fighter jets took off at 15:58 GMT and escorted the civilian plane until it left the national airspace at 16:24 GMT.

Gas Pipeline, School, Three Houses Damaged in Ukrainian Shelling Of LPR, Lugansk Says
LUGANSK (Sputnik) - A gas pipeline, a school and three houses were damaged in Ukrainian shelling of the settlement of Bryanka in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), the LPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime (JCCC) said in a statement.
"In the locality of Bryanka, three houses, eight outbuildings, a medium-pressure gas pipeline and Bryanka's secondary school No. 4 were damaged," the office said on Telegram.

Biden to Designate 300 Members of Russian State Duma as Early as Thursday - Reports
US President Joe Biden is expected to announce this week new US sanctions against more than 300 members of the Russian State Duma over Moscow's special military operation in Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reported citing American officials.

The report said the Biden administration could announce the sanctions as soon as Thursday when Biden will meet with NATO leaders to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said Biden will announce new sanctions against Russia while in Brussels to meet with NATO and European partners.

Russian Forces Hit Targets in Donbas With High-Precision Weapons - Defense Ministry
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Russian forces have hit Ukrainian military targets in the Donbas with high-precision weapons, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.
"On March 22, high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons attacked military facilities in Ukraine. Large fuel material warehouses of the Ukrainian troops in the settlements of Lysychans’k and Kramatorsk were destroyed," Konashenkov told a briefing.
The spokesman also said that the military of the Donetsk People’s Republic saized the Verkhnetoretskoye settlement, destroyed two tanks and five infantry fighting vehicles.

The Belarusian State Security Committee (KGB) has eliminated a Ukrainian spy network that worked under the diplomatic cover, the state-run Belta news agency reported on Tuesday.

Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin is not ruling out the possibility of placing more US forces on NATO’s eastern flank to counter Russia, a senior Defence Department official said on Tuesday.

The UN Security Council will discuss an ammonia leak incident in Ukraine's Sumy on Tuesday, Russia's mission to the United Nations said.
