The demand for certain types of Russian-made food products has increased by 25 percent during the past several months among the buyers in New Cairo, Egypt, according to the Russian Export Center (REC).This trend emerged after a “Made in Russia” tasting and demonstration pavilion was opened in the city in December last year.The “Made in Russia” tasting and demonstration pavilion in New Cairo offers the products provided by 38 suppliers from Russia, with REC noting that this number is going to increase soon.Aside from Egypt, such pavilions also operate in China, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates.

The demand for certain types of Russian-made food products has increased by 25 percent during the past several months among the buyers in New Cairo, Egypt, according to the Russian Export Center (REC).
This trend emerged after a “Made in Russia” tasting and demonstration pavilion was opened in the city in December last year.
Russian products are primarily being bought by large retailers and Egypt’s government agencies (“business-to-government segment”), REC said in a statement, adding that buyers seem to be particularly interested in sunflower oil, flour and sweets such as waffles and chocolate.
The “Made in Russia” tasting and demonstration pavilion in New Cairo offers the products provided by 38 suppliers from Russia, with REC noting that this number is going to increase soon.
Aside from Egypt, such pavilions also operate in China, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates.
