Some reports suggested that judging from the area where the shooting occurred, bars and restaurants that usually busy at this time of the week were targeted.
According to police, the suspected attacker has not been detained yet, and citizens are advised to stay indoors away from the windows.
Israel has been facing a wave of shooting incidents in the past few weeks, with the latest taking place in the city of Bnei Brak on 29 March, when four people were killed and another injured. Prior to that, two Daesh* sympathisers opened fire at a bus stop in the Israeli city of Hadera, killing two people and wounding 12.
