At the Made in Russia pavilion at the "Innoprom exhibition. Central Asia 2022", Russian exporters, with the support of the Russian Export Centre (REC, part of VEB.RF), held over 200 business meetings, the total export potential of which is estimated at $30 million.With the participation of the REC, a huge business programme was organised for Russian companies, which included the educational session "The Exporter's Client Path", visits to large enterprises, B2B negotiations, and business meetings with relevant ministries and associations.During the three days of the exhibition, entrepreneurs from Russia and Uzbekistan held more than 200 business meetings at the Made in Russia site.More than 100 Uzbek contractors showed interest in Russian products, among them private companies, factories, distributors, and dealers from the branches of mechanical engineering, metalworking, oil refining, energy, IT, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and associations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.At the Made in Russia site, several agreements were signed on cooperation between Russian and Uzbek companies in the field of industrial cooperation, the introduction of digital railway safety systems, and resource-saving complexes, as well as on cooperation between Russian companies and Uzbek associations on promotion on the Uzbek market and the implementation of production localisation and import substitution projects.A visit to the production sites of two large enterprises of Uzbekistan was organised for Russian companies. Exporters were able to get acquainted with the production and technological process of Uzbek enterprises, received information about the possibilities of localisation and organisation of joint production, integration with international production chains, and discussed export-import issues.The actively developing economy of Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries opens up good prospects and makes the region's market attractive to Russian exporters, according to the REC. Russian technologies and equipment are in demand in this market due to their functionality and high quality, favourable pricing policy, flexible delivery conditions, consideration of the specifics and needs of local buyers, the availability of service centres, and a number of other factors.The "Innoprom. Central Asia 2022" exhibition plays an important role in strengthening and expanding the existing cooperation and bilateral trade between Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as promoting Russian exports of non-primary high-tech products on the markets of Central Asian countries.
