Russia has repeatedly denounced the West for sending Ukraine billions dollars worth of weapons, noting that it adds fuel to the fire and only prolongs the conflict. Moscow warns any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will be a legitimate target for the Russian armed forces.

A new package of the European Union's sanctions is not set to target the trade of agricultural products between Russia and third countries, the European Commission said on Friday.

The European Commission proposed the new package of sanctions on Friday to improve efficiency of the six already imposed packages.

"The package also reiterates that EU sanctions do not target in any way the trade in agricultural products between third countries and Russia," the statement read.

The European Union's foreign ministers will discuss an issue of imposing a ban on gold imports from Russia on July 18, a EU source said on Friday.

"This issue will be raised, the idea is to present this proposal to the EU member countries. The ban on gold imports [from Russia] is included into the agenda," the source told reporters in Brussels.

Zakharova was commenting on UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s statement which condemned Russia’s missile attack on Ukraine’s Vinnytsia. The Russian Defense Ministry has said that attack on Vinnytsia targeted Ukrainian military and foreign arms suppliers.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday that Kalibr missiles targeted the House of Officers in Vinnytsia during a meeting between the Ukrainian Air Force and foreign arms suppliers on July 14.

"On July 14, Kalibr high-precision sea-based missiles attacked the building of the House of Officers in the city of Vinnitsa. At the time of the strike, a meeting of the command of the Ukrainian Air Force with representatives of foreign arms suppliers was held at this military facility on the transfer of the next batch of aircraft, weapons to Ukrainian military, as well as organizing the repair of the Ukrainian aviation fleet," the ministry said in a statement, adding that participants of the meeting were killed in the attack.

The Nekislitsa village in Russia's Bryansk region was shelled from the Ukrainian side on Friday morning, Governor Alexander Bogomaz said.

"Today at 5 a.m., the border village of Nekislitsa in the Sevsky District was shelled with artillery from the territory of Ukraine. A power supply line was damaged as a result of the shelling. There are no dead or injured," Bogomaz said on Telegram.

The governor added that the emergency services were working at the site, adding and that a team of electricians also arrived at the site and would begin restoring the power line soon.
