PM Narendra Modi has been showered with praise on the internet after he stopped his convoy of cars to allow an ambulance to pass along a busy highway between the cities of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad on Friday. In a video being widely shared online, two SUVs in Modi's cavalcade could be seen moving to the left to provide space for the ambulance to pass on the right. Once the ambulance has past, the cars move back to the center of the highway.Modi's gesture didn't go unnoticed on social media as many took to Twitter to applaud him for his kindheartedness."As PM Narendra Modiji was on the way to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad he let an ambulance pass. Rarely do we see such alertness or such a degree of seva [service] in a big leader. I bow down to Modiji," a Twitter user posted.Modi has been in Gujarat recently to campaign extensively for his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as elections are due in the state in December.The BJP has been in power in Gujarat for the past 27 years and Modi is making every effort to keep the state in the party's hands in the forthcoming polls.In the 2017 state elections, the BJP emerged victorious for the sixth time in a row, bagging 99 seats in the 182-member state assembly. India's Congress emerged as the principal opposition party with 77 seats.

On Friday, the PM won hearts by interacting with passengers of a semi-high-speed train and a metro. Later, another act of his was hailed by social media users.
PM Narendra Modi has been showered with praise on the internet after he stopped his convoy of cars to allow an ambulance to pass along a busy highway between the cities of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad on Friday.
In a video being widely shared online, two SUVs in Modi's cavalcade could be seen moving to the left to provide space for the ambulance to pass on the right. Once the ambulance has past, the cars move back to the center of the highway.
Modi's gesture didn't go unnoticed on social media as many took to Twitter to applaud him for his kindheartedness.
"As PM Narendra Modiji was on the way to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad he let an ambulance pass. Rarely do we see such alertness or such a degree of seva [service] in a big leader. I bow down to Modiji," a Twitter user posted.
"PM Modi stops his official cavalcade in Ahmedabad to let an ambulance pass first. A lesson for other Netas [leaders]. Salute," a second added.
