Big inflatable heroes from the cartoons and comic books, colorful costumes and good cheer.
The annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City - the world's largest parade - is produced by the US up-market department store chain Macy's and is one of the highlights of November in New York City. This tradition dates back to 1924, when it was designed to lure new customers to the department store. To this day, this tradition remains one of the most coruscating and important events in the life of New York City.
