Subscribe
On June 12, people all across Russia celebrate a national holiday known simply as Russia Day.
Celebrated annually since 1992, Russia Day commemorates the adoption of the country’s declaration of state sovereignty.
Concerts and other festive events are being held in towns and cities in all corners of the country, from Vladivostok to Donetsk, and some festive events are even being held outside of Russia's borders.
This year, Russia Day is also celebrated in the regions of the country that joined thr country last year when their residents voted in a referendum.
