June 22, 1941 is one of the most tragic dates in Russian history, a day of Remembrance and Sorrow. Early in the morning of June 22, 1941, without a declaration of war, Nazi Germany attacked the USSR and carried out massive bombing of military and strategic facilities and many cities, to a depth of 250-300 kilometers from the state border.
