House GOP Leaders argue that impeaching President Biden is the only way to ensure that a proper investigation into his international financial dealings is done in an unbiased manner.
Dan Lazare, investigative journalist and author of "America's Undeclared War", joins us to discuss the potential impeachment of President Biden. House GOP Leaders argue that impeaching President Biden is the only way to ensure that a proper investigation into his international financial dealings is done in an unbiased manner. Dan Lazare says that the GOP has done a very good job of looking into the scandal. He says that Hunter Biden was doing business in Ukraine and he severely compromised his father. Also, the FBI was complicit in hiding the information from the voting public.
Ray McGovern, former CIA analyst and co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, joins us to discuss Ukraine as Russia's Cuban missile crisis. Caitlin Johnstone compares the situation in Ukraine to the Cuban missile crisis. Ray McGovern says that he was an army officer when the Cuban missile crisis happened. He says that the world has been through this threat before and therefore we know how the US empire would react if they faced a threat similar to the one that has been posed against the Russian Federation.
George Koo, journalist, social activist, and international business consultant, joins us to discuss China. George writes that Joe Biden has focused on trying to contain China and his efforts have been fruitless. He argues that Biden meets with Chinese leaders and pretends to be friendly but as soon as he returns to Washington he returns to his anti-China unfriendly stance. Additionally, his subordinates do the same thing when they meet with Chinese authorities. The US spends hundreds of millions of dollars on propaganda demonizing China so they can spend even more on weapons.
Mark Sleboda, Moscow-based international relations security analyst, joins us to discuss Russia and the Ukrainian conflict. Russia's homegrown airliner, the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 has successfully completed its first test flight. Sleboda says that this is a very big deal because Russia had used to turn to Western aircraft for its air fleet. But the economic war of sanctions made it difficult to import the parts needed for Russia to maintain its domestic fleet. The domestic production system of airplanes has become a national security issue for Russia. Russian aviation stocks have soared over 45% due to the successful test of this new aircraft. Mark says that self-reliance outside of the US empire is becoming a must because the neocons have weaponized their system of trade.
Laith Marouf, broadcaster, and journalist based in Beirut, Lebanon, joins us to discuss the Middle East. The New York Times reports that the US knew that Saudis were abusing and shooting African migrants. Laith Marouf says that the US is selling itself as the champion of human rights yet it aided the killing of civilians in Yemen. Also, he argues that the US abuses migrants on its border and does not say anything about European nations that abuse migrants. Also, the issue of color makes a difference in how the US addresses migrants' rights. He says that the US elites are using this issue to pressure the Saudi leaders. Also, Iran and Iraq are working together to deal with the issue of Kurdish groups accused of terrorism in Iran. Laith believes that these Kurdish groups have been used as US proxies to destabilize and attack Iran forcing Tehran to move.
Rachel Blevins, American independent journalist and RT correspondent, joins us to discuss Africa and foreign policy. President Macron has stated that France is ready to support an ECOWAS military action against Niger. Rachel Blevins says that France has troops on the ground but he seems to expect that they will not be attacked. Also, Niger has demanded that the French ambassador leave the nation. She says that France is a colonial power and is trying to maintain their rule. She says that this string of military coups in West Africa shows that the people in this region are tired of dealing with poverty and strife.
Caleb Maupin, journalist and political analyst, joins us to discuss the decay of the US empire. Caleb Maupin argues that people throughout the US empire have been brainwashed to believe that the government should not act on behalf of the working class. Caleb Maupin says that England is dismantling the welfare state, the rise of neoliberalism has killed the notion of collective obligation and the new gig economy class has no stable source of income. He also says that the basis of the welfare state was the fear of communist expansion.
John Kiriakou, former CIA Officer and Co-Host of "Political Misfits" on Radio Sputnik joins us to discuss the corruption of the banking industry. John Kiriakou has written an article in which he shows that banks take arbitrary and capricious actions against working-class customers but turn a blind eye to wealthy state actors such as Jeffrey Epstein. John says that normal people have had their bank accounts seized and closed and had great difficulty getting the situation corrected though they were never accused of a crime. However, Jeffrey Epstein was not held to this standard. Epstein sent over a million dollars to young girls using his bank accounts and no action was ever taken. Also, the Virgin Islands rewrote their child pornography laws and sent the draft to Jeffrey Epstein for review before voting on the final law.
