"On August 30, 2023, the crew of a Su-30 naval aviation aircraft destroyed a military speedboat of the armed forces of Ukraine with a crew to the east of the Zmeiny (Snake) Island in the Black Sea," the ministry said in a statement.Ukraine launched its over-hyped counteroffensive earlier in June and promised that it will lead to a major turn on the battlefield. However, Ukrainian troops ran into stalwart Russian defenses and minefields. According to Russia’s Ministry of Defense, as of August 4, Kiev lost over 43000 soldiers and over 1800 tanks, including 25 German Leopard tanks, once considered a weapon that can turn the tide.

09:25 GMT 30.08.2023 (Updated: 11:11 GMT 30.08.2023) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - A Russian Su-30 fighter destroyed a Ukrainian speedboat with a crew east of the Zmeiny Island on Wednesday, the Defense Ministry said.
"On August 30, 2023, the crew of a Su-30 naval aviation aircraft destroyed a military speedboat of the armed forces of Ukraine with a crew to the east of the Zmeiny (Snake) Island in the Black Sea," the ministry said in a statement.
