In April, the German Prosecutor General's Office filed charges of creating a terrorist community against five citizens of Tajikistan, one citizen of Turkmenistan and one citizen of Kyrgyzstan. The defendants entered Germany through Ukraine in 2022.

"Threats can come from both single jihadists and small groups, but large-scale coordinated terrorist attacks like the recent terrorist attack in Moscow are also a possible scenario," Haldevang added, referring to the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall on March 22.
