"Those who usurped power in Miraflores [Venezuelan presidential palace] thought that they would defeat us, while 60 countries of the world recognize our democratic struggle today. And one country a day recognizes us," Guaido said while addressing a rally in Caracas broadcast by TV Venezuela.

Guaido also noted that he would continue to appoint ambassadors to other countries and to "save the country's assets" abroad.
