Turkiye, Russia to Discuss Trade in National Currencies During Putin's Visit – Source

ANKARA (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss expanding trade in national currencies during upcoming Putin's visit to Turkiye, a source in the Turkish presidential administration told Sputnik.

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov earlier said that Putin would visit Turkiye in February.
"This is one of the items on the economic agenda. The leaders always keep the topic in their focus and are interested in the relevant statistics. Undoubtedly, the prospects of bilateral cooperation on expanding the areas of trade in our currencies [lira and rubles] will be discussed," the source said.
