"Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian armed forces lost more than 380 soldiers and 11 armored vehicles, including two tanks and nine armored combat vehicles, as well as three artillery pieces, an electronic warfare station, a demining engineering vehicle and 14 cars," the statement read.
Russian planes struck clusters of personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces near 20 settlements in the Kursk Region.
The Russian forces also struck the concentration of reserves of 10 Ukrainian brigades in 13 areas of Ukraine's Sumy Region, it said.
Additionally, Russia's Battlegroup Sever defeated the formations of nine Ukrainian brigades in the Kursk border area and repelled seven attacks, resulting in Kiev losing up to 20 servicepeople, the ministry said.
The Russian forces also repelled three Ukraine's attempts to break through the Russian border in the direction of the settlements of Novi Put and Medvezhoe in the Kursk Region, with Kiev losing up to 40 servicepeople, the country's defense ministry said.
Since the beginning of the military operations in the Kursk area, Kiev lost more than 16,000 servicepeople and 126 tanks, the Russian ministry estimated.
