"At the initiative of the Iranian side, a telephone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The foreign ministers exchanged views on current bilateral and regional issues," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministers also called on Kabul and Islamabad to continue dialogue to resolve differences through diplomatic means, the statement read.
