VORONEZH, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - The Central Russian aircraft building company said Monday it had delivered a second long-range Il 96-300 plane to Cuba.
A VASO spokesman said the plane, made for Cubana de Aviacion airlines, had been successfully tested.
"In compliance with the agreement, a group of Russian experts will fly to Cuba to hold talks on supplying two more Il 96-300 planes," he said.
The spokesman said the new planes were equipped with an explosion localization system, which can minimize explosions of 0.4-5 kg of TNT equivalent on board the plane.
The first liner was supplied to Cuba in November 2005.
