* The Russian Swimming Championship starts on July 6 and will last until 10 in Moscow

* The Russian Swimming Federation approved Wednesday prize money for Russian swimmers who win medals or set records at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing: $50,000 for gold, $30,000 for silver and $15,000 for bronze
