Sergei AverianovIn conceiving costumes that would be seen worldwide, Canadian fashion designers discarded more garish colors preferring a dark-blue motif typical of British Columbia’s skies at dusk. They also used the motifs typical of Canadian author and artist Emily Carr, who was heavily inspired by the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast. Her name is immortalized at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Each of these suits will be worn over vintage ski suits and boots.
