Over the next years, Internet pirates could strip Russian publishers of up to 30 percent of the book market, said Sergei Stepashin, head of the Russian Audit Chamber.
So-called free content composes up to 90 percent of the Internet, Stepashin went on.
“If we do not take rapid measures over the next year… than the book publishing industry will lose up to 30 percent of the market,” he said.
