MOSCOW, November 13 (R-Sport) – Spartak Moscow midfielder Kim Kallstrom was named Swedish midfielder of the year on Tuesday by his country's football association.
The 30 year old has made 12 appearances and has scored one goal for the Russian side since July, when he switched from Lyon after clinching two French league titles.
Kallstrom has scored 16 goals in 97 caps, and played all three matches at Euro 2012, where Sweden failed to pass the group stage.
Spartak’s recent signing Ghanaian forward Majeed Waris was named the best player of the Swedish league as he top scored with 23 goals to help his former club BC Hacken climb to second place for the first time in their history.
Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic won the player of the year award for the sixth time in a row.
