MOSCOW, February 19 (RIA Novosti) – The websites of the Russian president and the two chambers of parliament – the State Duma and the Federation Council - sustain up to 10,000 cyber attacks ever day, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said on Tuesday.
In an interview with the government daily Rossiyskaya Gazeta, to be published on Wednesday, Patrushev said the number of attacks on various Russian state bodies' websites has grown rapidly.
“As of late, the number of cyber attacks on websites that are part of the Russian information infrastructure has increased sharply. The relevant services have to deal with such attacks on a daily basis,” he said.
