Russian helicopters made in Kazan have logged over 50 million hours flying time all over the world. Throughout the entire history of the Kazan Helicopter Plant, over 12,000 Mi-4, Mi-8, Mi-14, Mi-17 and Ansat helicopters, as well as their modified variants, have been delivered to 100 countries.

Mil Mi-17 helicopters are manufactured at the Kazan Helicopter Plant and the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant. The latter has built over 2,000 different Mi-17 helicopters.

The medium-size Mi-17 multi-role helicopter can carry passengers and freight and is used for a wide range of missions all over the world.

The helicopter is based on the 1960’s vintage Mi-8 but features a number of parts and systems from the Mi-14 naval variant, as well as new engines and avionics.
