MINSK, November 13 (RIA Novosti) – Belarus plans to raise $1.5 billion through foreign loans next year, a top finance official said Tuesday.
But the former Soviet republic will also need some $2 billion from privatizations to balance its budget, Oleg Selivyorstov, a deputy chief of the Finance Ministry’s budget policy department, said in Minsk.
The country’s debt servicing payment next year is expected to grow by $255 million to $783 million, the official said.
