Picking up where we left off – our readers and listeners are discussing the US policies regarding Ukraine.

US attempts to exonerate Ukraine authorities

For example, Thomas Corcoran from Sweden wrote:

“For the past eight years or so I have been predicting the total collapse of the imaginary financial system. It seems to be upon us and has even wrecked the more genuine real economy. Normally when this happens we get a world war, at least since the creation of the privately-owned so-called "Federal Reserve Bank" money system. Well... Petro Poroshenko of the US Department of State-approved junta in Kiev is doing his best at acting as picador against Russia in hopes of a Russian attempt to protect the people of the eastern Ukraine. Then NATO can declare a Paragraph 5 situation meaning that a NATO member has been attacked and start a war against Russia.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a shooting war. As long as Russia is a declared enemy, NATO countries won't be permitted to trade with it and in turn will have to go back to using the US Dollar for financial transactions among and between themselves meaning that the "Fed" will get its "piece of the action" on every transaction as Dollars will first have to be acquired by the participating countries in order to purchase anything.” End quote

Anton Komarov from South Africa has sent us extensive emails. Quote “I always believed that Articles like the Geneva Convention held sway in International Law and the way Wars were conducted. Last week the US spokesperson Jen Psaki announced that it is okay for the Ukrainian Government (brought to power by a coup d’etat) to bomb and shell innocent civilians in the eastern part of the country. This obviously accords with the US view that there were no figures for civilian casualties in Iraq, a blatant untruth exposed by Bradley Manning, the US soldier now being tried as a traitor for telling the truth. How can the US pretend to accord to any level of decency when it regards morality and ethics as a fluid concept dependant on its perceived geopolitical agenda?”

Our listener continues:

“Have we finally discarded all those lessons learnt from WW2 and now embrace a culture of “winner takes all”, no matter what the consequences of such actions will bring? We despair that society has become inured to suffering and death and callously disregards everything as long as it is not in their backyard (the NIMBY syndrome) so that none of us feel any emotional involvement.” End quote. What do you think, listeners?
