BRUSSELS, July 27 (RIA Novosti) - The European Police Office (Europol) hopes for speedy improvement of working conditions for the investigators operating at the crash site of Malaysian airliner in Ukraine, according to the communique released on Sunday.
"The working conditions for the people on the ground have been extremely difficult, but it is my hope that this will soon change for the better," Will van Gemert, Deputy Director of Europol, said in the statement.
According to the document, Europol will take part in a meeting, organized by the EU judicial cooperation body Eurojust on Monday, where the judicial aspects of the investigation into the Boeing 777 crash will be discussed.
Europol noted that on July 20, it deployed a response group, which is currently helping to identify the bodies of the crash victims in Ukraine’s Kharkiv.
Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in Ukraine’s Donetsk region on July 17. All 298 people on board, including 193 Dutch nationals, died.
Earlier on Sunday, Malaysian authorities announced that the country will send nearly 70 policemen to Ukraine on July 30, as part of the international group ensuring the security of MH17 crash site. A Dutch group of 40 policemen had also already arrived in Kharkiv late on Saturday.
