KIEV, August 4 (RIA Novosti) – Kiev prepares a list of Russians, who will be banned from entering the country due to their stance on reunification with Crimea and situation in southeastern regions, an advisor to the Ukrainian interior minister Anton Heraschenko said Monday.
“We are currently preparing an entry ban list for about 500 Russian public figures, who supported reunification with Crimea and partition of Ukraine,” Heraschenko wrote on his Facebook page.
Crimea, formerly a republic within Ukraine, and the city of Sevastopol became regions of Russian Federation following a referendum on March 16, where the majority of population voted for reunification with Russia. In response to the move, the United States and the European Union imposed sanctions against Russia and Crimea.
