No Evidence of British Establishment's Child Abuse ‘Cover-Up’: Report
MOSCOW, December 1 (Sputnik) — British blood cancer specialist Myles Bradbury, 41, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for child abuse, including sexual assault, the BBC reported Monday.

According to the broadcaster, Bradbury admitted abusing 18 children that he had treated between 2009 and 2013 at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
He admitted 25 offenses, namely sexual assault, voyeurism and possession of more than 16,000 indecent images of his patients. Bradbury is said to have used a spy pen to take photos of his victims.

Cambridge Crown Court’s judge Gareth Hawkesworth said Bradbury’s actions were a betrayal of his Hippocratic Oath and trust as a doctor.

"In many years on the bench, I've never come across a more culpable or grave course of sexual criminality which has involved such a gross and grotesque breach and betrayal of your Hippocratic Oath and trust reposed in you by your patients," Hawkesworth was quoted as saying by the BBC.

In July 2012, Canadian authorities informed the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) in the United Kingdom of Bradbury’s purchase of a DVD with indecent images of children, however, the organization did not pass on the information until November 2013.

In September, the doctor pleaded guilty to six acts of sexual assault and 13 cases of engaging in sexual activity with a child.
