Kerry: No Sanctions Relief for Iran Until Questions on Nuclear Issue Remain
MOSCOW, December 2 (Sputnik) – Tehran will find a solution to its nuclear program through constructive interaction with the world, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday.

“By following a path of constructive interaction with the world, we shall resolve the nuclear issue in the coming months. We do not doubt that the West and the East and the P5+1 [Russia, China, the USA, the UK, France plus Germany] and Iran will all be constructive,” the president said in an address to people in Iran’s Golestan Province as quoted by IRNA.

He called on the world to “end the cruel sanctions,” adding that the world has accepted Iran’s nuclear program, including uranium enrichment.

Iran to Insist on Rights in Nuclear Talks With P5+1: Foreign Minister
Iran has long been accused by Western nations of trying to create a nuclear weapon under the guise of civilian activities. Iran has repeatedly rebuffed the accusations, stating that its nuclear program is aimed solely at fulfilling the country’s energy needs.

The West imposed sanctions on Tehran, stating that the Islamic Republic needs to terminate its nuclear program before the sanctions are lifted.

The latest round of talks on the Iranian nuclear program took place in Vienna between the P5+1 countries and Iran, with the parties failing to reach a deal before the November 24 deadline. A new deadline for a final agreement has been set for July 1.
