"Today there will be no [Contact Group meeting]. I am here, in Luhansk, and cannot come to Minsk today. [DPR negotiator Denis] Pushilin and I are ready to leave [for Minsk] at any moment," Vladislav Deinego said.
On December 17, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced that the next round of the Contact Group talks on Ukraine reconciliation would take place on December 21.
Despite the agreed upon ceasefire, the opposing sides have repeatedly accused each other of the truce violation. On December 9, a "silence regime" was announced in the country's South-East as an attempt to resume the ceasefire.
The latest round of talks on Ukraine was expected to be held on December 12, but it was postponed due to additional preparations required by the negotiating parties.
