Donetsk Stance on Prisoner Swap, Easing Economic Blockade Remains Unchanged
The September 5 Contact Group meeting in Minsk led to a ceasefire agreement between the Kiev forces and the independence supporters of Ukraine's eastern regions.

Despite the agreed upon ceasefire, the opposing sides have repeatedly accused each other of the truce violation. On December 9, a "silence regime" was announced in the country's South-East as an attempt to resume the ceasefire.

The latest round of talks on Ukraine was expected to be held on December 12, but it was postponed due to additional preparations required by the negotiating parties.
