MOSCOW, January 3 (Sputnik) — Pakistan's officials accused Indian border guards of killing a 13-year old teenager and injuring a child during a shelling in the disputed region of Kashmir, the AP reported on Saturday.
Pakistan and India blamed each other for having initiated the shelling. The Pakistani military claims India breached a ceasefire agreement between the two countries, while Indian authorities stated that Pakistani forces opened the fire first. India also claimed that at least 4 Indian civilians were injured during the incident.
The incident comes a few days after Pakistani authorities accused Indian forces of killing two of its soldiers.
Kashmir has been a disputed territory between India and Pakistan for more than 50 years. The two countries have constantly been involved in conflict since they gained independence from Britain in 1947.
