Bodies of Some AirAsia Plane's Crash Victims to Be Autopsied During Probe
MOSCOW, January 3 (Sputnik) – The head of Indonesia’s search and rescue agency said search teams looking for the wreck of the AirAsia flight QZ8501 have found four parts of the crashed plane on the bottom of the sea Saturday, Reuters reports.

“We’ve found four big parts from the plane we’re looking for,” said Fransiskus Bambang Soelistyo, the chief of search and rescue agency, cited by Reuters.

One large piece was found by a ship Friday night, while three others were located Saturday. The search was slowed by bad weather and poor visibility, as it was difficult for underwater remote operating vehicles (ROVs) to capture any images beyond two meters.

Fatal AirAsia Flight Violated Route Permit: Indonesian Transport Ministry
“We found oil slicks and huge objects at 11:40 p.m. (4:40 GMT) last night. I’m confident these are parts of the missing AirAsia plane. As I speak we are lowering an ROV to get an actual picture of the objects detected on the sea floor. All are at the depth of 30 meters,” Soelistyo said, as quoted by the BBC.

Small pieces of the plane and debris have been found, however, no significant pieces have been retrieved, including black boxes and the plane’s fuselage, where most victims’ bodies are thought to be trapped.

The AirAsia flight QZ8501 disappeared last Sunday with 162 people on board while flying from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore.

A multinational team of specialists is currently taking part in the search operation at the suspected crash site, having recovered 30 bodies so far. No survivors have been found and the main sections of the Airbus A320 have not been retrieved.
