MOSCOW, January 8 (Sputnik) — Police have found plaster grenades near a mosque in Le Mans, western France, where a blast occurred early Thursday night, French newspaper Le Maine Libre reported Thursday.
According to the newspaper, the police found a plaster grenade that had been apparently detonated in the mosque compound. Law enforcement officials also found three other grenades that had not exploded.

Moreover, one of the mosque's windows had a bullet hole, Le Maine Libre reported.
The area has been cordoned off and an investigation is underway.
On Thursday morning, another explosion took place near a mosque in Villefranche-sur-Saone, eastern France. The blast hit a restaurant nearby. No injuries have been reported.
