Five Indian Men Arrested for Raping Japanese Young Woman: Reports
UNITED NATIONS, January 12 (Sputnik) — UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Monday during his visit to New Delhi urged to end violence against Indian women, after a series of mass and public rapes in the country.

"I applaud the many civil society groups across India that work – often without resources or recognition – to empower women and minority groups. I count on the [Indian] Government to act on them," Ban told the Indian Council of World Affairs in New Delhi. "On the global pandemic of violence against women, including the heinous crimes of rape and sexual abuse, India has a special challenge."
