MOSCOW, January 13 (Sputnik) — Indian police have discovered more than 200 crude bombs in the east of the country, IBN Channel reported Tuesday.
The bombs were found in the Birbhum district of West Bengal state. Two people were arrested in relation to the incident, according to IBN.
At the moment the bombs are reported to have no connection with the October blast in the city of Burdwan in West Bengal state, which killed two militants from the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh group. The explosion occurred while the rebels were making crude bombs in a privately owned house.
Last month, a similar blast outside a busy restaurant in India's Bengaluru killed a woman and wounded a man, Reuters reported.
In December 2014, police discovered some 70 bombs in the city of Sattore in Birbhum district.
