MOSCOW, January 17 (Sputnik) — Canadian police have located the suspect who shot two police officers in Alberta province earlier in the day, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said in a statement on Saturday.
"The suspect who shot two RCMP officers earlier this morning in a St. Albert casino has been located," the statement published on RCMP's official website read.
On Saturday morning, a gunman shot and wounded two police officers in a casino of St. Albert, a northern suburb of Edmonton, the capital of Alberta province.
RCMP stated earlier that one officer is in "very grave" condition, while the other officer's condition is serious but stable.
A manhunt for an approximately 30-year-old "armed and dangerous" white male is currently underway and local residents were asked to stay away from the area where the investigation is ongoing.
