"EUCAP Sahel Mali [EU training mission in Mali] will help the Malian state ensure constitutional and democratic order, put in place the conditions for lasting peace as well as maintain its authority throughout the entire territory. The mission advises and trains the three internal security forces in Mali, i.e. the police, Gendarmerie and Garde Nationale, and coordinates with international partners," the press release of the EU Council read.

Meanwhile, the EU Military Advisory Mission in the Central African Republic (EUMAM RCA) will be established for a year.
"It sets out to support the Central African authorities in preparing a reform of the security sector, especially with respect to the management of the CAR armed forces (FACA). The new mission will follow the EU military operation in the CAR (EUFOR RCA), which contributes to security in the capital Bangui until 15 March 2015," another press release informed Monday.

The first year's budget of the EUCAP Sahel Mali mission is estimated at about €11.4 million [$13.2 million], while a total of €7.9 million [$9.2 million] has been allocated for the advisory mission in the Central African Republic.
CAR has been in a deep crisis since early 2013 when the primarily Muslim Seleka rebels overthrew the Christian president, Francois Bozize. A mainly Christian militia, known as the "Anti-Balaka' began fighting the Seleka, while targeting Muslims in revenge attacks.
UN's mission in CAR was established by the Security Council in April 2014 and took over peacekeeping duties on September 15.
