MOSCOW, January 29 (Sputnik) — An Academy Award-winner for ‘The Usual Suspects’ and ‘American Beauty,’ will soon appear as the star in a cat-centric film called ‘Nine Lives’ being produced and financed by EuropaCorp, ScreenCrush.com reports.
Spacey will be playing a workaholic businessman father who suffers a terrible accident that leaves him trapped in the body of the family cat.
The project comes from a script written by Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin, and filmmaker Barry Sonnenfeld of the ‘Men in Black’ fame, has described ‘Nine Lives’ as a "funny, emotional, commercial comedy."
Spacey, who is coming off his first Golden Globe win for ‘House of Cards’, is also slated to star in the family-friendly, animated comedy ‘Boss Baby’.
Spacey recently appeared in 'Horrible Bosses 2' and is currently filming the role of Richard Nixon in Liza Johnson’s indie 'Elvis & Nixon'.
