MOSCOW, (Sputnik) – After the crash, Taiwan’s authorities ordered the company’s pilots to undergo proficiency tests.
The TransAsia Airways ATR-72 aircraft crashed into the Keelung River in Taiwan’s capital, Taipei, shortly after takeoff. At least 40 of the 58 people on board were killed, while 3 others remain missing.
The Aviation Safety Council said that the aircraft’s engines lost power straight after takeoff.
