The book titled "Life in the United Kingdom: a Guide for New Residents" is a compendium on British customs and history that helps would-be immigrants prepare for a multiple-choice quiz for migration to the United Kingdom.
It was the most requested book in the UK capital's libraries from July 2013 to June 2014, Public Lending Right said.
According to the rating, the bestseller "Fifty Shades of Grey" does not appear in the Top 100 Most Borrowed Titles list this year, after it placing third last year.
Britain has one of the highest migration rates in Europe and saw a 43-percent increase in numbers over the past year. This prompted Prime Minister David Cameron to promise curbs on migration to reduce annual inflow from hundreds of thousands to tens of thousands.
